The efficient stock trader! Work smarter, not harder!

Most seasoned stock traders know that the stock market has been very volatile recently. Especially full-time traders are trying to adjust to the market shift and swing as often as needed. If it is tariff talk, doge turmoil or some other news, stock traders don’t have time for that talk as they need to trade.

You can really spend 24 hours reading news, Benzinga, Seeking Alpha, Stock Titan, research Zacks or Yahoo Finance Earnings Calendars, Pull up sec filings such as schedule 13 , Form 4 changes in beneficial ownerships aka the insider trading buys and sells (acquire or dispose) just to find a few good stock picks.

One of many examples! Click Holding, stock ticker: clik

We run a scanner every day that shows the most “Recent volume spikes” Alerts. That scanner listed the stock as shown here. We are trying to analyze each stock with high volume during the pre-market hours and put those on a CNBC-watchlist.

Stock Volume History
3/17 622,100
3/14 138,600
3/13 158,300
3/12 013,700

We missed out or did not even take notice of clik as we were focused on movers like Vincerx Pharma, ticker:vinc and Phoenix Motor, ticker:pev that day. These movers were high volume stocks, high risk stocks compared to a low volume clik stock that had at least two positive sessions prior.

More insight came to light when we ran the recap of our mpw scanner. The mpw scanner that we run during the pre-market hours is configured to display stock tickers that fulfil certain conditions such as pre-market highs (at least 1 day), price below $5, Average daily volume, volume today, changes from the close 0.01 and earnings date, min 0.1.

The scanners we use are available on our website with a login. Sign up is free!

What made clik move up on March 13 was most likely the Benzinga’s  post “12 Industrials Stocks Moving In Thursday’s Intraday Session”. Again, there are so many news going out at all times so that “scan” sometimes seems more efficient that trying to capture and process all these stock news.

Don’t lose sight!

There are many stocks moving up and down every single moment from the pre-market hours, regular hours and during the after-hours.

The scanner can be customized with hundreds of different settings from price limits, volume caps, volatility, 5, 10, 15 min high, triangle bottom and so forth. Literally hundreds of settings and that is why we set our scanners to align with our stock trading strategy.

Our stock strategy as of March 2025 is to engage only in day trading, buying, selling stocks until highest possible returns are realized while holding the stock only short term. That is due to the current market volatility.

Timing while picking a promising stock!

• Needs at least two computer screens to see real-time charts, 1 min scanner, trade scanner and watch-list, news, sec etc.
• Stock at MPW Scanner – Needs to have 3-5 days of flat or up prior sessions (to determine risk and projective path, run in pre.
• Needs to have a decent volume in relations to volume history and past performance
• Study the chart by min, 1 day, 5day, 30 days, understand the chart!
• Watchlist – Make sure to create a real-time watch-list. Name it e.g. March18
